Hey! My name is Alaina and I’m the creator and founder of Lovelee Birth. I am a graduate from Mount Holyoke College with a degree in Psychology, a minor in Chemistry, and a focus on reproductive health. I have been a doula for 4+ years. I was called to this work because not only am I passionate about birth work but people of color need more support for successful birthing experiences where they’re enjoying this experience instead of undergoing it in stress and fear. I’m here to educate and inform you, make sure you know what is going on at all times, and give you tips and tricks regarding labor. During that special moment, your local OBGYN or Midwife's job is to focus on catching the baby, your partner's job is to love you, and my job is to have your back, literally. I’m focusing on you making sure you’re breathing and you’re the most comfortable in this uncomfortable situation.
I bring authenticity, excitement, and genuine intentions. My goal is to make sure my client has not only a safe birth but a beautiful experience. We’re going through this journey with love and care. I believe that our birthing bodies were designed to create life and to give birth. I emphasize emotional and mental strengthening by replacing the fears of giving birth with the trust of your body as coping with labor is mental. I incorporate mindfulness and meditation in my practices to help you navigate and potentially fall in love with the birth experience you get. By having a warm, mellow, and joyful presence, I aim to meet my clients where they are and take them where they want to be. I am here to be your biggest cheerleader, birth coach, and advocate. You’ll feel more confident in your ability to maintain a coping mindset throughout labor because I'm able to stay by your side and reassure you.
